We left at 8:30 and arrived at 1:30. Not bad knowing we stopped and fed the girls. The 4th was a beautiful day. We ate lunch at my parents house on the deck with family. Sam and I were able to go on a boat ride while Grammy K stayed back with the sleeping girls.
The girls played out side on the deck for a while, but when they started to slow down we realized they were probably hot. Sure enough, we took them inside to play on their favorite mat and they woke up and smiled. :)
On Friday, Sam and I tried to rest to get over our colds. We ate all 3 meals on the deck. The girls would sit in their bouncy seats in the shade, while we sat under the umbrella. We took the girls on their first boat ride. It didn't last long as the life jackets were bigger then the girls. So we took our photo ops, drove down a little way and turned around. A for effort!

Then we dipped the girls feet in the river for the first time. It was chilly. Maybe next year they will go swimming and last a little longer in the boat.

On Saturday morning we got up bright and early and arrived to Pentwater by 8:30am. We were able to spend time with Jane, Sam, Elizabeth and the kids in the morning.

Then we headed over to Dean and Maureen's house for a big family party. It was so much fun to have so many people all together in Pentwater. This was a welcome to the world party for Anna and Kathryn. It was so kind of Dean and Maureen to host the party along with everyone who contributed to the fun.
Girl Cousins
The girls were troopers. There were lots of people that showered the girls with love and affection. The girls loved it! The fresh air and fun tired them out, so they were able to take a nap in the house in the afternoon. Some kids went tubing, swimming, and kayaking, while others chatted in the yard. What a wonderful day full of family.
The night ended with a great dinner on the deck back at the Morrisons followed by a trip to the House of Flavors.

We arrived back to GR at 11:30pm. What a day! Since Sam and I were still feeling under the weather, especially me, we headed back first thing on Sunday to Indy.
It was a quick trip to Pure Michigan, but we had a blast introducing the girls to wonderful family and friends!
